Our Mission
“No child or adult should have a decline in quality of life due to lack.”
It is our Mission to ensure Southern Cross Wellness Services address the physical, mental and emotional needs of those in Regional New South Wales who are suffering lack, and bring health and well-being back into their lives.
Our Values
“Our values are aligned to those who are in need and are suffering."
Southern Cross Wellness Service values all human beings and their quality of life. As an organisation, as both employees and volunteers, we sympathise and empathise with others' needs, whether major or minor, and strive continually to aid and assist our fellow beings with the essence of our hearts and our capabilities.
Mental Health and Addiction
One in five Australians experiences mental health issues such as depression or anxiety at some point in their life.
Many people turn to alcohol or drugs as a way to cope, leading to other damaging consequences for the sufferer, their family members, the wider community and society as a whole.
We take your mental health seriously and offer tools such as counselling (both private and in groups) and suicide prevention, in order to provide support in whatever you are dealing with.
Addiction is a very real problem in Australia and we offer programs to support and rehabilitate those already dealing with addiction across New South Wales.
Supporting your Quality of Life
Whatever your personal situation, we are all striving for quality of life above all else.
Nowhere is this more evident than in regional and rural Australia, where hard times on the land can adversely affect the health of those living on it. Injury, chronic conditions such as eyes and ears, or just general poor health are all conditions which, if left undiagnosed can be extremely debilitating, affecting one's capacity to work and care for family.
Indigenous communities in remote areas can struggle to access the medical services necessary to treat these illnesses. We believe no one should have to suffer hardship because of their remoteness or inability to leave their land.
At Southern Cross Wellness we are striving to bring as many mobile services as possible to regional and remote areas of NSW.

Indigenous Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation
Aboriginal Australians suffer a higher burden of mental health issues and addiction than the general population. A number of complex cultural factors such as economic insecurity, unresolved trauma, discrimination and the grief associated with the loss of native culture all contribute to this situation and must be considered when providing treatment.
We offer culturally appropriate alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
